The Regional Farmers Cooperative Organization (RFCO) Gilgit conducted a productive visit to the Farmers’ Bazaar in Aliabad, Hunza, to engage with local farmers, review their products, and discuss opportunities for growth and collaboration.
The visit included members from RFCO’s General and Executive Bodies, who interacted directly with farmers, entrepreneurs, and vendors. They explored a variety of locally produced goods, including fresh fruits, vegetables, organic products, and value-added items that reflect the unique agricultural potential of Hunza and surrounding areas.
The RFCO team commended the efforts of the local farmers in ensuring the availability of high-quality, organic products in the region. They also highlighted the importance of such marketplaces in promoting sustainable agriculture, supporting local economies, and connecting farmers with wider markets.
During the visit, RFCO representatives shared insights on improving productivity, marketing strategies, and the importance of collective efforts to enhance agricultural profitability. The farmers expressed their appreciation for RFCO’s ongoing support and commitment to their success.
