On December 4, 2024, RFCO Gilgit held a productive meeting with the UBL Agri Head of Pakistan, Mr. Faisal, and the Regional Head, Mr. Riaz Zoqi, to discuss agricultural loans for farmers in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. This collaborative dialogue focused on creating accessible financial solutions to support local farmers in enhancing agricultural productivity and profitability.
The RFCO team also met with various Farmers Cooperative Societies from District Gilgit, District Nagar, and District Hunza. These discussions aimed to understand the financial needs of farmers and explore opportunities for collaboration to ensure they can access much-needed agricultural loans.
This initiative marks another step toward RFCO’s commitment to empowering farmers through sustainable financial support and partnerships. Together, we aim to strengthen the agricultural economy of Gilgit-Baltistan and improve the livelihoods of farmers across the region.
